Are you with the family, a group of friends, or solo?
Looking for a day of sport or relaxation?... Well then, don’t hesitate.
We propose descents on the Dordogne River in a Canoe or Kayak, where you’ll discover a world apart, made up of beaches, castles and wilderness (fauna and flora).
Our itineraries are easily accessible, with no difficult areas (Easy River classed Level 1).
You can take your own picnic or dine at our open-air café “The Palma Nova” which is open all summer and located right next to the Canoe Club.
THE ASSOCIATION: FJEP
For your comfort, restaurants, a grocery market, a butchers, a news-agency, a tobacco shop, a hairdresser and lodgings at the local camping grounds, guestrooms or holiday cottages are close by.
The association was created in 1969 and is maintained to this day by passionate canoers / kayakers and nature lovers.
It should be noted that Pessac sur Dordogne has the advantage of a dock and 3 launching jetties, quite remarkable for such a small village.
Built in the era of Louis XV for freight exchange, the docks served mainly for the transport of wine by barge.
Opposite the club, in the village of Saint-Seurin de Prats, there’s access to a natural beach, just below a historical bridge (rebuilt twice after 2 wars) spanning the river and linking the two departments, the Dordogne and the Gironde.
Pessac sur Dordogne is situated 55 kms east
of Bordeaux between Saint Emilion and Bergerac.
All summer, the Club brings this magical place to life offering Canoe, Kayak and bicycle outings .
